Thanks are extended to a number of local leaders for their help, guidance and encouragement as we’ve worked together to get Frederick County’s first Small-Wind and Solar Array Permit system in place here.
On April 28, 2009, the Board of County Commissioners voted 5 to 0 in favor of the text amendment as presented.
OURCommonWEalth has had the privilege of hosting two public information programs about Solar and Wind 101, the first one in December 2008 at the Urbana Fire Station and the most recent program was in April 2009 at the C. Burr Artz Library in Frederick City..
Special thanks go to:
The Board of County Commissioners and Planners who visited Potomac Wind Energy to understand and to learn first hand about what is a “small wind” turbine.
